  • [FIXED] MetaServer 3.0.0 .NET Framework error (Windows 10 20H2)

    Hi,

    I'm getting the following error when I click on "Setup" in the Metaserver:

    Code:

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.
    For example:
    <configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>
    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.
    If I continue, I'm unable to select any ports and connect to the app. The dropdown list is empty. I've reported this issue on Saturday and haven't heard back, so I'm unsure if this is affecting all Windows users or just me. Anyone else?

    Thank you.

    zolhof Have you managed to solve this issue? I think I have seen the solution somewhere on the forum but I am not able to find it. Let me know - I will pass it our network engineer for investigation.

      Hi Przemek, unfortunately not yet, I'm still unable to connect to Metagrid.

        Are you running MetaSever as an admin?

        • #5
          Yes, both normal and admin. I've never had this issue with previous Metaserver versions (normal or admin)

              Hi Carlos, not yet but thank you for confirming this is not an isolated issue. They are on it.

              Hi Przemek! I just tested Metaserver on two other Windows 10 computers (Pro and Home) and got the exact same error. One of them was a clean installation. It seems that MGP for Windows is broken at the moment. Let me know if you need any additional information or logs.

                  Ok, we think we have got it right - here is the link to the MetaServer Win that shouldn't cause crash: https://www.dropbox.com/s/21zg4uri8b...35475.zip?dl=0
